In making a life change most people find they need some combination of:
- Encouragement and support
- Advice and guidance
- Problem-solving and strategy
With a coach, you tend to have a tighter focus, generate more commitment and take the actions you know are needed to reach your goals.
Coaching works because you focus on you, not just the goal and the business.
When we cut to the chase, it's not the achievement of the goals themselves that brings fulfillment, but rather YOU and how you feel and your connection with yourself as a person. Coaching develops your awareness of this, you’ll discover things about yourself that previously you were oblivious to.
What I focus on is very much up to you, but can include your needs, values, strengths, the things you love and enjoy and many of those other elements that simply get pushed to the bottom of the list due to the day to day activities of life.
Most of the coaching is done over the phone because I realise that busy individuals do not have time for traveling. Coaching over the phone also allows coach and client to be present with each other, and more focused. However, I am happy to initially get together, this can be arranged if you wish.
My coaching is based on a series of sessions. Fortnightly or weekly sessions can be arranged and I can be flexible about when these take place.
To develop a good relationship between client and coach, as your coach I focus totally on you. On what you want and what is most important; from your life, and on how I will assist you to attain it.
To do this I……
- listen to you, not only to your words, but what you’re really trying to tell me by looking through the words, spaces and pauses. This tells me a great deal.
- take onboard everything you tell me, be in tune with your emotions, your energy, and your tone.
This allows me to……
I am wholly focused on ……

I will sometimes be even more dedicated to what you want to achieve in your life, than you are.
Imagine what it would be like if someone:

your values and life purpose and maintaining you are true to them. |

how to help you celebrate your achievements and help you learn from your mess-ups (unfortunately, we all have them). | | |

I, as your coach, promise I:
| Will... |
absolutely tell you the truth about where you are strong. |
| Will... |

The Coaching Process (generally)
When a client first contracts a coach, they are usually sent an initial package electronically that includes a contract to be signed, several forms (e.g. questions about life goals and plans) and (sometimes) assessments and tests to be completed (perhaps assessing values, behaviors, personality styles, etc.) Clients often send their coach a weekly prep form prior to each session which focuses on accomplishments in the previous week, challenges they are currently experiencing and what they want to accomplish with their coach in the upcoming session.
During the coaching call, the coach will ask what the client wants, listen to the answer and ask questions that assist clients to clarify, envision what they want, address limits or blocks, identify gaps, and help them move towards taking action. Typically by the end of the session, the coach will want to know three things from the client:
How much generally, would I expect to pay a coach?
Expect to pay coaching fees ranging from £50 - £225 per, 75 minute individual sessions. It is usual for 2 sessions to occur per month, but flexibility and adapting to the clients lifestyle is an important consideration. Usually included in these fees are additional e-mail communication and brief telephone calls on an as-needed basis. Fees are usually higher for in-person coaching and/or longer sessions. Fees for corporate coaching can be as much as £1000+ a month. Fees for group telephone meetings can range from £100 - £150 or more per month for 4 persons, for two or three 1-hour sessions.
